Skawen air handling units use a lightweight composite casing designed to provide corrosion resistance, thermal performance and flexible configuration in demanding indoor and outdoor applications.
Composite Casing Developed for Demanding Air Handling
A Different Alternative to Conventional Metal Casing
Skawen air handling units are built on a composite panel and profile system rather than conventional sheet-metal construction. The material system is selected to provide corrosion resistance, low weight and reduced thermal bridging, with a modular platform that supports flexible dimensions and sectional delivery.
- Corrosion resistance from the material, not a coating
The material system provides resistance rather than relying only on a surface treatment. - Low weight
Simplifies transportation, lifting and rooftop installation, especially in renovation projects. - Reduced thermal bridging
Supports good casing thermal performance across the panel and profile system.
Resistance Comes From the Material System
The casing is developed for applications where moisture, chlorinated air, saline conditions or other corrosive exposure may limit conventional metal equipment. Internal components, fasteners, coils and accessories are still selected according to the environment.
Flexible Dimensions and Sectional Delivery
The casing platform supports adaptable dimensions, layouts and component arrangements. Depending on the unit, delivery may be possible in modules or sections for assembly closer to the final installation position — useful for rooftops and restricted-access sites.
